One of Eric Amaranth’s Favorite Sex Toys: The Liberte Vibrator

When I choose sex toys for myself and my clients, I select ones that are most effective for specific uses that may or may not be what they were originally designed for. Necessity as the mother of innovation, in this case, directs how I recommend my clients the best sex toys and more importantly, teach their best uses. The Liberte from the Natural Contours brand is one of those and you can buy one easily online at Adam & Eve.

My mentor Betty Dodson used to make this vibrator available for years as well. She liked it because it was unique on the market at the time for having a softer than usual vibration. This was useful for women with a very sensitive clitoris who wanted vibrator fun and orgasms, but found most products to be too much for them to enjoy. I liked it for that reason as well, but also because it was a long and slim profile toy that could more easily be incorporated into certain positions in intercourse where it didn’t work to fit a vibrator half the Liberte’s length down at the woman’s clitoris and instead needed something longer where her hand could hold it and not get in the way of the way she and her partner’s bodies fit and move together. It’s also a toy that can be used for clitoral stimulation or for vaginal and anal penetration.

It also is a vibe that’s artfully designed and colored. A soft sunshine yellow with attractive curves that appeals to the eye to use. As I was once told by a woman, “The Liberte is cute, and women like cute things.” The downward curve originally was useful for her clitoral stimulation because, as the name Natural Contours implies, the curve would put the vibrations where they needed to go while the woman’s hand could be relaxed on her stomach– not held up where her wrist could get tired or have a harder time accessing when using a straight design. When turned upward, the Liberte can be used as a G-spot massager and vibrator for those women whose G-spots and neurology respond favorably to this toy’s design.

While some women prefer a textured design for their G-spot stimulation and/or G-spot orgasm, I found many others prefer a smooth surface because textured ones feel abrasive to the upper vestibule of the vagina, particularly when repeated motions are part of a often necessary stimulation technique. The Liberte delivers smooth.  Smooth is needed in other uses of this sex toy as well.

Without giving away all my best secrets for this versatile tool, I will reveal that while it has received some less than favorable reviews for its narrow shaft design, I can report to the contrary that the narrowness is exactly what I and some women and men clients wanted in a sex toy for several big reasons. I’m not aware of another toy on the market with this narrow a shaft and I hope it continues to be made for all the important and hot things that a narrow toy for penetration is specifically required for. As I’ve said to clients before, I see sex toys as tools to create or make easier unique sexual experiences that without them are more difficult to impossible. In fact, this toy often makes an appearance in my advanced sexual skills coaching and methods.
